I am Ripan, a final-year Ph.D. student at the University of Missouri-Columbia (expected to graduate by June 2026) working under the supervision of Prof. Khaza Anuarul Hoque in the Dependable Cyber-Physical Systems (DCPS) Laboratory.

My research focuses on developing Trustworthy and Explainable AI for safe, secure, and privacy-preserving Extended Reality (XR) applications. I work at the intersection of Systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Machine Learning (ML) to address critical challenges in XR security, usable privacy, and human-centered AI. My work encompasses cybersickness mitigation, privacy-preserving gaze prediction, and multitask learning for adaptive and immersive XR experiences.

I have published 5 journal articles in high-impact venues, including IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC), IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), and IEEE Access, along with 17+ conference papers at top-tier venues such as IEEE VR, IEEE ISMAR, ACM VRST, and ACM IUI. I have also filed 4 patent applications currently under review for U.S. Patents.
